“If calligraphy is a way to perfection then it is the way to God, since only He is perfect. Each of His creations is unique, whether it is a pattern on the butterfly’s wings, shape of rocks or our fingerprints. Thus, every time the same lines and letters look different due to ink composition, type of utensils used, paper texture, state of mind and firmness of hand. By harmonizing these components and learning to see beauty we can get closer to perfection. And if when writing we manage to squeeze out the negative (pain, envy, doubt, anxiety), then God may touch us and a miracle might happen. When we look at the result we can’t believe we did it due to its immense difference from our present state. This is how I see it”.
